Seoul is famous for its countless beauty salons, making it the perfect place to try a new style or experience the latest K-beauty trends. But finding a hair salon in Korea as a foreigner can feel daunting, especially if you don’t speak Korean. On my recent trip to Seoul with my mum, I wanted a little K-beauty glow-up and knew I wanted to have my hair done, but I was worried about communication.
With so many choices in Seoul, the process of narrowing down the right salon can feel even more overwhelming.
While searching online for recommendations, I came across a few posts mentioning Creatrip, a platform designed to help foreigners book a wide range of activities in Korea. From beauty and aesthetic treatments to personal colour analysis, restaurant reservations, and even K-pop event tickets, everything is available in English, which makes it perfect for travellers like me!

Seamless Booking Process
Through Creatrip, I was able to narrow down the options and found CCONTE, a salon with excellent reviews. The booking process was incredibly straightforward: I created an account, browsed the services (all with prices clearly listed too!), and received confirmation easily. No hidden surprises, no confusion.

Our Salon Experience
On the day of our appointment, the staff welcomed us warmly and quite a few of the staff spoke English too, which made communication effortless. After checking our hair condition, the stylists also gave us thoughtful recommendations. I decided on a haircut plus a nourishing hair treatment, while my mum opted for a haircut with a scalp treatment.

With her scalp treatment, my mum even received a detailed scalp analysis report in English, which we found both impressive and useful.

The whole experience was really relaxing. Throughout the treatment, the stylist checked in regularly, asking for my preferences while also offering his professional suggestions. I was really satisfied with the end result, my hair was styled into soft, wavy layers that felt like a true K-beauty transformation, and it stayed healthier and more manageable weeks after the treatment.

CCONTE salon actually specialises in hair colouring, with an amazing selection of shades. I didn’t have the time to try it out this time, but I’m definitely planning to return on my next trip to try one of their signature colouring services!

For anyone visiting Korea and looking for a stress-free beauty or hair salon experience, I highly recommend checking out Creatrip and booking your appointments there, it really makes trying out new things in Seoul so simple!
